Calls for submissions

Studio 303 supports emerging practices in contemporary dance and interdisciplinary performance. We give priority to emerging or in mid-career artists based in Montreal. If you are an established artist or from out of town, please specify reasons for wanting to work at Studio 303 in particular. Some of our programming is done by invitation, such as SPARK Series, exchange residencies, or other special projects. The following is our open call for submissions.
*If the format of our calls (PDF, Google form) presents an accessibility challenge for you, please contact info@studio303.ca

PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS – 2024-25 SEASON //  October 1 – November 15, 2023

We program more than one year in advance and our decisions are usually made late fall every year. We are seeking eclectic teachers – local and visiting – to facilitate workshops for professional art-makers in Montreal. These generally take place over one week (mornings only) and occasionally on weekends.

RESIDENCIES – 2024-25 SEASON //  October 1 – November 15, 2023
Read the call for submission 24-25 and fill the form 24-25>.

Summer Residency:
Up to 100 hours access to the studio/equipment for artists working on collaborative or cross-disciplinary projects. The projects are selected by a committee including former artists in residence.
Winter Residency: This intensive residency is offered to two local artists, who already have a relationship with Studio 303. The residency offers exclusive and unlimited access to the studio, office and technical equipment. You must be technically autonomous.

EVENING CLASSES // No deadline
We schedule evening classes in August, November and February (at least one month before the start of the sessions). We offer 3 sessions per year and classes are usually held Monday through Thursday evenings. Studio rental is the responsibility of the instructor. You can apply by sending your class content, desired day and time to info@studio303.ca
