Hoopdance – Level 1 with Kelli Hanrahan

Hoopdance is a fusion of dance, exercise and play inside a large weighted hoop. This fun and dynamic workout strengthens abdominals, tones thighs, buttocks and arms, and helps to increase/maintain flexibility developing balance and co-ordination. In addition to the cardiovascular and physical benefits, hoopdance also allows for the dancer to unleash their own style inside the hoop and build confidence and relieve stress. www.ihoopu.com
Kelli Hanrahan’s love of hoopdance has found her teaching, training and performing this ever-evolving movement art in Montreal, Ottawa and her home of Prince Edward Island. Her classes combine dance anatomy with alignment set to uplifting music. An elementary school teacher and children’s yoga instructor, Kelli is also studying Éducation Somatique at UQAM.
