After training at the Théâtre National de Bretagne (TNB),Mr X acted in many plays. In 2004, he created a company, Fanadeep, for Village en flammes by R.W. Fassbinder at the Théâtre du Soleil. Since 2005, he questions himself on the new dramatic forms in theatre by redefining its basis and artistic orientations and heads toward pluridisciplinary work and new images.
Mr J trained as an actor in various conservatories. Self-taught in contemporary dance and after three years of personal research in contemporary art (performance, plastic installations and new images), he enters the training Essais at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers (CNDC) and continues his choreographic and visual research as part of Fanadeep.
In 2006, they establish a creative process based on photographic and video improvisation and then think of new dramatic writings by developing their physical commitment in the performance, installation (visual and sound) and think of new forms of photographic exhibits. They create in 2007, To pull over to the death a choreographic and theatrical performance at CNDC d’Angers (based on a video) and then in 2008, Fils de D a text by Franck Meyrous (co-production TNB) at NEXT International Art Festival. For this occasion, they invited two artists (Énora Malgré and Jean-Luc Vincent) to join them on this project that questions contemporary world iconography. Their research is structured around the voice and body dissociation in images. In 2009, they won a 6 month residency in Montreal with the program « Les inclassables » (Culturesfrance/Office Franco Québécois pour la Jeunesse / Conseil des Arts et des lettres du Québec). Video and photography are their main research mediums. Since February, they deepened their work by questioning their cinematographic references and by putting in place visual premises for their next creation Aptitude Héréditaire. http://fanadeep.com/
