Games, notions and guided improvisations. We will learn how to craft remarkable moments. To enter into the unbridled poetry of the human body. And to fall.

The torrential power of abstraction, the impact of images, pleasure, wildness and philosophical silences are all on the menu. Because, yes, the clown holds the power to adventure into living poetry. Life without limits. The specific approach of the artist is an amalgam of the clown (the theater tradition) and living poetry. Here, the clown does not seek to be a laugh-machine at all costs, but rather a being producing slow-ness, gusts and metaphors. Emotion is always front and center, queen of the stage.

Clowns of all experience levels are welcome!

La nab (or Annab) has the avidity of a gold miner. Born in Sutton, she has lived in Montpellier (France), La Paz (Bolivia) and Val-David (Laurentians). She wrote her master’s thesis on the pleasure of creation (Literary studies, Université du Québec à Montréal, january 2018). Holed-up today in Montreal, she searches for more terrestrial formulas to continue to write and live like a Pierrot. La nab expresses an outrageous sensibility towards fiction. A self-described lunatic, she hails from the planet poetry, and her discovery of the art of clown arts were a complete accident. A majestic happy accident. La nab has led workshops on the clown arts at Caserne 18-30 in Montreal, at LézArts Loco in Val-David, and at L’Envolée, a day-center for mental health in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. She trained with Dominique Malacort (Bas Saint-Laurent), Juliette Jamois (Toulouse) and Olivier-Hugues Terreault (Montreal). In march 2019, she will have the pleasure of leading a clown workshop centered on living poetry at Studio 303! Artist portfolio
