If you are an artist based out of town, please specify in your application why you want to work at Studio 303 in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of our programming is done by invitation, such as SPARK Series, exchange residencies, or other special projects. The following is our open calls for submissions. If the format of our calls (PDF, Google form) presents an accessibility challenge for you, please <a href=\"mailto:studio303.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>contact info@studio303.ca<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-roboto-font-family\" id=\"call-for-projects\"><strong>CALL FOR PROJECTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Studio 303 will hold its third <strong>MARATHON<\/strong> on Saturday, April 25, 2026\u2014an event featuring 30 dance\/performance proposals, each lasting 5 minutes. Open to projects in the research\/exploration\/creation phase, and to artists regardless of their career stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The call for submissions is open from<\/strong> <strong>February 1 to March 22, 2026<\/strong>. The selection process will take place from March 23 to 27, and the selected artists will be announced on April 7. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studio303.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Appel_Marathon303_2026_Hoor.pdf\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.studio303.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Appel_Marathon303_2026_Hoor.pdf\">call and apply by filling out this form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-roboto-font-family\" id=\"professional-workshops\"><strong>PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong><strong>The 206-27 call closed on October 15, 2025. The next call for the 2027-28 season will open in September 2026.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We program <strong>more than one year in advance,<\/strong> and our decisions are usually made in <strong>late fall<\/strong> every year. We are seeking eclectic teachers \u2013 local and visiting \u2013 to facilitate workshops for professional art-makers in Montreal. These generally take place in the mornings over one week and occasionally on weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-roboto-font-family\" id=\"residencies\"><strong>RESIDENCIES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong><strong><strong>The 206-27 call closed on October 15, 2025. The next call for the 2027-28 season will open in September 2026.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Summer Residency:<\/strong> Up to 80 hours of access to the studio\/equipment for artists working on collaborative or cross-disciplinary projects. The projects are selected by a committee including former artists in residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Winter Residency: <\/strong>This intensive residency is offered to two local artists, who already have a relationship with Studio 303. The residency offers exclusive and unlimited access to the studio, office and technical equipment. You must be technically autonomous.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-roboto-font-family\" id=\"residency-in-the-shade-march-2026\"><strong>RESIDENCY in the shade<\/strong> \u2014 MARCH 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>This call closed on October 15, 2025.<\/strong><\/strong><br>See the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.studio303.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Appel_25-26_In-The-Shade_Residence.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">call for the residency of March 14 to 28, 2026<\/a><\/strong> and fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/airtable.com\/appbEiMj3lieXg6xF\/pagFoGsXuqR6b7j7r\/form\">this form<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>in the shade<\/em> is a residency for 2 Afro-descendent artists in Martinique. This program engages research, reflection and sharing, and was created by curator Ronald Rose-Antoinette.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-roboto-font-family\" id=\"independant-productions-in-partnership\"><strong>INDEPENDANT PRODUCTIONS IN PARTNERSHIP <\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>This call closed on October 15, 2025.<\/strong><\/strong><br>See the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.studio303.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Appel_25-26_Independant-Prods.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">call and apply for 2025-2026<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Studio 303 rents its space for independent productions, supporting artists who want to selfproduce their work. This year, via a call for submission, we will select 2 projects in parternship, giving a rebate of 50% on the rental cost. <\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-roboto-font-family\" id=\"evening-classes-202526nbspseason\"><strong>EVENING CLASSES<\/strong> \u2014 2025-26 SEASON<\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong>Apply by: June 16th, 2025<\/strong> (Full year or fall session), <strong>October 15th, 2025<\/strong> (Winter session), and <strong>January 15th, 2026<\/strong> (Spring session).<br>You can apply by <a href=\"https:\/\/airtable.com\/appvCVuzYfJZ4k0ZI\/pagTbsDKPXqdMNwJK\/form\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>filling out this form.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Studio 303 rents its space to teachers who wish to give a class. We offer 3 sessions per year, and classes are held <strong>Monday through Thursday<\/strong> evenings.
