Some of the topics you will explore include: personal process, inspiration, media use, best practices, intention, curatorial intention and presentation.&nbsp; You may work independently or as a group towards a personal or group goal.&nbsp; Participation is encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BIO \/\/<\/strong> <strong>Skeena Reece<\/strong> is a Tsimshian\/Gitksan and Cree\/Metis artist based on the west coast of British Columbia. She has garnered national and international attention most notably for Raven: On the Colonial Fleet (2010) her bold installation and performance work presented at the 2010 Sydney Biennale and as a part of the celebrated and widely toured group exhibition Beat Nation. Her multidisciplinary practice includes performance art, \u201csacred clowning\u201d, writing, music, video and visual art. She studied media arts at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, and was the recipient of the British Columbia Award for Excellence in the Arts (2012), The Viva Award (2014) and the Hnyatshyn Award (2017).&nbsp; Recent solo exhibitions include: Moss at the Oboro Gallery, Montreal (2017) and Sweetgrass and Honey at Plug In ICA (2018), Touch Me at the Comox Valley Art Gallery (2018) and Surrounded at the Morris and Helen Belkin Gallery (2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW TO DETERMINE WHICH RATE TO PAY<\/strong><br><br><strong>All workshops are for professional performing artists. Some require advanced dance training. There is a regular rate, and a rate subsidized by Emploi-Qu\u00e9bec.<\/strong><br><br><strong>Who has to pay the full rate (regular)?<br><\/strong>\u2013 People residing outside of Montreal Island<br>\u2013 Full-time or foreign students<br><br><strong>To benefit from the subsidized rate by Emploi-Qu\u00e9bec, you must:<br><\/strong>\u2013 Live on the island of Montreal (civic address)<br>\u2013 Be an artist or cultural professional<br>\u2013 Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or temporary foreign worker with a work permit (open or closed)<br><br><strong>Are
