That which protects the mind from negativity, or that which protects you from your own mind, is called mantra. <\/em><br>&#8211; Sogyal Rinpoche, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying<br><br>Why is it not enough to say or do a thing only once? What do we need to remember when we repeat a name, a word, a sound, a movement? How can we do that in ever changing circumstances?<br>This research in movement ritual involves creating a polyrhythmic space where people can experience time in their own way while synchronizing with others when personal timing aligns.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>ONE DAY AT A TIME:<\/strong><br>Each day of this workshop will begin with a new guided meditation. What is shared in the beginning of this practice is an offering, an opening, and an invitation into the participants own reality. Writing prompts will guide participants in creating their own embodied mantras. The goal of this workshop is to provide a mindful space for silliness and self inquiry alongside methods for grounding in repetition once this workshop is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BIO \/\/ <\/strong>Moving between sound and performance, <strong>Be Heintzman Hope<\/strong> is a facilitator of music, dance and embodiment ritual based between Tio\u2019tia:ke\/Mooniyang\/Montreal and the unceded territories of the x\u02b7m\u0259\u03b8k\u02b7\u0259y\u0313\u0259m (musquem), S\u1e35wx\u0331w\u00fa7mesh, (Squamish) and s\u0259l\u0313\u00edlw\u0259ta\u0294\u026c (Tsleil-Wateuth) peoples, colonially known as Vancouver. Their practice bridges dance training with conflict resolution, healing and community arts. They hold workshops in transitional spaces, dance institutions, DIY contexts and festivals that center queer, trans and racialized bodies \u2013 offering meditation, singing and dance as medicines to those on the frontlines of their healing journeys. They have facilitated workshops for various organizations and institutions such as Sherpa Centre de Recherche, Queens University, Mascall Dance, Ponderosa, The University of the Arts Philadelphia, and The Center for Gender Advocacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>HOW TO DETERMINE WHICH RATE TO PAY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All workshops are for professional performing artists. Some require advanced dance training. There is a regular rate, and a rate subsidized by Emploi-Qu\u00e9bec.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who has to pay the full rate (regular)?<\/strong><br>\u2013 People residing outside of Montreal Island<br>\u2013 Full-time or foreign students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To benefit from the subsidized rate by Emploi-Qu\u00e9bec, you must:<\/strong><br>\u2013 Live on the island of Montreal (civic address)<br>\u2013 Be an artist or cultural professional<br>\u2013 Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or temporary foreign worker with a work permit (open or
