Objective

The Lots of Love (LOL) Festival is an outdoor contemporary performance event that emphasizes a DIY ethos and an anti-institutional approach, made by and for the community as an alternative to larger festivals.
It has been organized and curated by Sasha Kleinplatz, Liliane Moussa, Emile Pineault, and Sarah Williams since 2021. The festival features a series of performances created for unconventional spaces like backyards, garages, parks or basketball courts, and it aims to bring together artists from diverse backgrounds and generations.
The approach to curation is characterized by prioritizing the relinquishing of control, fostering radical trust within the community, and amplifying the voices of different community members.
