We invite you to immerse yourself in the essence and richness of Krump culture. Krump is focused on freestyle and is constantly evolving. This requires a good understanding of our spirit, our body, and the basic movements associated with this dance. Throughout this semester, we will explore the foundations of this dance through three important components:
– The exercises (“drills”)
– The philosophy of the session and the “battles”
– Video analysis
ACCESSIBILITY
All our teachers are qualified to adapt movements according to skill levels.

BIOGRAPHY
Vladimir “7Starr” Laurore is a multidisciplinary artist from Laval and has been an ambassador for the Canadian krump scene since 2005. He is the co-founder of Canada’s first krump group, the Bzerk Squad. 7Starr works to promote and spread this culture in his home province of Quebec and is the co-founder of the Montreal Krump Alliance (MKA) and creator of the Gutta Zone festival. He has received numerous awards, including the Victor Martyn Lynch Staunton Award from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Gloria Mitchell-Aleong Award from the Black Theatre Workshop, the Prix coup de cœur at the Dunamis Gala, and the Prix découverte, awarded by the Prix de la danse de Montréal, for his considerable work on this large-scale project.
These classes are open to all levels, and advance registration for one or more classes is recommended.
