This hybrid movement class combines floor work, partnering, simple standing sequences, and improvisation to foster movement, expression, community, and creativity in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Warm-ups include somatic exercises that focus on mobility, recovery, and flexibility. Functional drills combine Pilates, Yoga, and coordination patterns to build strength, stamina, and balance. Participants will engage in improvisation structures to develop creativity and expression for solos, duos, and groups, as well as learn easily accessible choreographic phrases. Class is adaptable for varying fitness levels and is accompanied by great playlists. The session will have a 14-week progression, but participants can drop in or purchase 7-week packages.

ACCESSIBILITY
A class for all levels of experience to generate movement, while engaging with others and connecting to your physicality. For the final class, invite your friends and family to join and witness your dance explorations. Consent practices and the option to adapt and opt out will be possible for all proposed material.
BIOGRAPHY
Erin Flynn is a Montreal-based dance artist recognized for integrating ecological and ethical principles into her practice. In 2024, she was the Artist in Residence at Concordia’s Contemporary Dance department, received a CALQ grant to train in Counter-technique, and conducted research at Espace Blanc, supported by Agora de la Danse. Erin has toured nationally with Ruth Cansfield Dance, Trip Dance, and Public Recordings, and internationally with Van Grimde Corps Secrets, presenting work at venues from Tokyo to Montreal. Erin teaches at Concordia University, Studio 303, ENTS, Club Sportif MAA, and Roze Pilates, while creating and performing new works. Featured in the documentary “Danser avec le Temps,” filmed by Euphrosyne, Erin is also a published author.
