CONTENT //  Drawing from my personal research and the Flying Low and Passing Through technique, we will explore going in and out of the floor through falling and recovering, learning swimming spontaneously into the earth. We will explore powerful and dynamic movement, focusing on functionality, fluidity, and connection. We will generate a high energy and wild environment, challenging our bodies through play, trust, and exhaustion. We will build an understanding of how to compose instantly with each other, how to command the body impulsively, how to take everyone with you.

BIO //  Ellen Slatkin is a dancer and teacher based in Montreal, Quebec, who has been dancing in the UK and Europe for the past five years. While training at The Place, she developed a love of the floor and spontaneous performance, which she continued to cultivate through studying Flying Low and Passing Through extensively with Leila McMillan and David Zambrano, as well as improvisation and floorwork with Hagit Yakira. Recently, she has performed for Second Hand Dance (UK), Clod Ensemble (UK), Arch8 (NL), Julia Bengtsson (SWE), Clara Sjölin (SWE), and Luis Marrafa (BE).
