LONG TABLE – francophone perspectives on Queer art (1)

Monday, November 26th 2018, 2pm to 4pm @ Studio 303

Free/No RSVP

We build it together: francophone perspectives on Queer art notions.

“We build it together” is a an effort to support Queer francophone community, working in the arts. This event is open to Queer artists, as well as anybody questioning this reality and/or who would like to exchange on this topic. Long Table’s objectives are to gather and share our experiences, thoughts, challenges, realities, in order to build a community-oriented way-of-thinking. It also aims at identifying franco-queer artists’ needs, and support them with their activities, projects and life.

We will begin our conversations with the following questions:
– What does it mean to be Queer in French? Are we comfortable with this term?
– Even though artistic community seems to be welcoming towards Queer artists, can we really say that it’s true?
– Do creations actually reflect artists’ realities?
