CONTENT
This class is designed for people interested in becoming better acquainted with a theatre acting experience, more comfortable with public speaking and dynamic presentation, or who would like to have an enjoyable extra-curricular once a week. Lenore designed this course to approach technical acting basics developed from the likes of Konstantin Stanislavski, Stella Adler, and Sanford Meisner, in a language she has developed herself and effectively applies. While the intention is to facilitate a learning experience, the priority of leisure is just as high, and it’s important the class is fun for everyone. Lenore has been directing & acting for two decades in theatre settings, has provided this course twice before at Studio 303, and is excited to present it a third time for returning & new participants. Over 10 weeks, the group will take part in a variety of exercises to embody an active understanding of the work, ending in a very casual performance for friends, family, and each other.

ACCESSIBILITY
The classes will be done in English, and include a little bit of theory lecture, with more group exercises on our feet. Each day will eventually include working on those scenes with each other in class, as well as group activities. Exercises in class may involve light bodily contact, but consent will be a routine priority.  We will regularly check-in for emotional/physical/energy status, in an effort to  work responsibly with each other. If a participant knows of situational triggers they may have, they are encouraged to be relayed to Lenore via email or in person before class.
