Objective
Open to adults of all backgrounds and experience levels, this inclusive dance class invites participants to expand their movement vocabulary and deepen their body awareness while engaging in a warm and welcoming environment. The joy of self-expression and of sharing meaningful moments together lies at the heart of the experience.
Drawing on their expertise in inclusive dance, the instructors will support this exploration by offering exercises tailored to each participant’s individual needs and physical characteristics, within a respectful, accessible, and caring environment.

The course emphasizes movement exploration, artistic expression through dance, and attentive listening to oneself and others.

Biography
Simon Renaud is a Montreal-based artist. He is the founder of the company AMOUR AMOUR, launched in 2022. Originally from Gatineau, part-time epileptic, full-time twin, he studied contemporary dance at The School of Dance in Ottawa.
He subsequently worked as a performer for numerous Canadian companies and independent choreographers (e.g. Daniel Léveillé, Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, Dancemakers) and French ones (Alban Richard), performing on both national and international stages. He has had the pleasure of presenting his work across the country.
Simon was an artist in residence with LA SERRE – arts vivants in 2018. His piece l’inanité des bibelots earned Andrew Hartley a Dora Mavor Award nomination for Best Male Performance. He is the recipient of a residency in Aarhus (Denmark) in March 2020 and in Potsdam (Germany) in august 2026. Simon uses the body as architecture in motion to question solitude and foster a reflection on individuality. The omnipresence of slowness in his work is a way of inviting the audience to appreciate the beauty found between stillness and movement, the past and the future, in order to contemplate the unbearable and inaccessible present moment.
