Objective
This workshop explores improvisation methodologies and techniques rooted in street dance and hip-hop freestyle. This approach is part of the freestyle and performance development program Free Form Lab dedicated to the evolution of street dance practices.
Open to all styles and movement backgrounds, it emphasizes self-expression through guided exercises, creative tools and individual exploration.
Content
The session engages with improvisation as both a movement practice and an internal framework, offering a space for reflection, experimentation, and the development of a personal movement language. The workshop revolves around improvisation through movement in relationship to music, accompanied by discussions on freestyle and street dance methodologies and approaches. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in creative exchanges, encouraging the sharing of ideas and experiences between dancers. Specific improvisation tools will be defined and explored within a sound and movement-based framework rooted in hip-hop culture.

Biography
PAX is a multidisciplinary artist, choreographer, and performer whose work bridges street dance, visual arts, and digital media. Rooted in her journey as a street dance artist, her practice is distinguished by a deep commitment to improvisation as both method and philosophy, exploring the expressive potential of movement across artistic forms. Her work has been featured on prominent platforms such as VICE, i-D, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Breakin’ Convention (London, U.K). She is the founder of A.MUSE, an interdisciplinary dance company, and HYBRID(X), an exhibition merging street dance with digital art. With over a decade of experience mentoring dancers and facilitating workshops, she also launched Free Form Lab, a development program dedicated to supporting the evolution of street dance practices on a local and international scale.
