Adaptable exercises
Standing for long periods

Pazapa Workout (step by step in Haitian Creole) is a class accessible to all levels and adaptable to individual needs. Movements can be modified to suit different fitness levels. Most exercises are performed standing.

Participants should feel comfortable with rhythmic cardio movements and bodyweight exercises. Music is an integral part of the experience, so ear protection is recommended for those sensitive to sound. This class helps release pent-up energy and renew it through dynamic movement, allowing each participant to progress at their own pace.

Accessibility options can be arranged in advance to ensure an inclusive and supportive environment. Feel free to speak with Abi on-site or contact Nitsé via email at info@ekspresyon.ca 🙂

BIOGRAPHY

ekspresyon ekspresyon dance troupe was founded in 2003 by Régine Cadet and Sibyl Graham, two dancers of Haitian origin. Its mission is to share Haitian culture through dance, in a spirit of transmission and recognition. From its very beginnings, the troupe took its place on the Montreal scene, and was one of the first to create and self-produce thematic shows. Through its works and performances, ekspresyon seeks to break down existing barriers between different artistic genres and deconstruct stereotypes associated with traditional Haitian dance.

In pursuit of its mission to promote Haitian culture, ekspresyon offers a program of classes accessible to all levels and open to all audiences, rooted in Haitian dances and traditions. The aim is to offer everyone the opportunity to discover or deepen their knowledge of Haitian culture and the traditional rhythms associated with it.

Today, ekspresyon is a collective of artists, a dance and creation center, an inclusive space dedicated to physical and mental well-being with an approach focused on artistic exploration and mentoring.
