$20, $25 or $30

Objective

Grant Labs are full-day sessions dedicated to artists working on grant applications. This activity is intended for independent professional artists working in the live arts and applying at one of the Art Councils (CAM, CALQ or CAC)

LUNCH THEMES: Be smart with your time during FTA/OFFTA.
Ahead of the busy festival period (mainly FTA/OFFTA, in late May and early June), how can one best prepare to make their work visible and meet the right people? What should one go see, and which activities should be prioritized, for example?

DAY STRUCTURE

  • Upon arrival, artists can book a 30-minute one-on-one meeting with a mentor. During this meeting, the mentor will provide feedback on the artist’s grant application.
  • For the rest of the day, the office becomes a quiet coworking space, with coffee, snacks, and a printer available.
  • From noon to 1 p.m., participants and the team share a meal (bring your own lunch). An informal presentation on a specific theme will be offered, followed by a group discussion and information exchange.
