Studio 303 supports experimental practices in contemporary dance and interdisciplinary performance. We give priority to emerging or mid-career artists based in Tiohtià:ke – Mooniyang – Montreal. If you are an artist based out of town, please specify in your application why you want to work at Studio 303 in particular.

PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS
The 206-27 call closed on October 15, 2025. The next call for the 2027-28 season will open in September 2026.
We program more than one year in advance, and our decisions are usually made in late fall every year. We are seeking eclectic teachers – local and visiting – to facilitate workshops for professional art-makers in Montreal. These generally take place in the mornings over one week and occasionally on weekends.
RESIDENCIES
The 206-27 call closed on October 15, 2025. The next call for the 2027-28 season will open in September 2026.
Summer Residency: Up to 80 hours of access to the studio/equipment for artists working on collaborative or cross-disciplinary projects. The projects are selected by a committee including former artists in residence.
Winter Residency: This intensive residency is offered to two local artists, who already have a relationship with Studio 303. The residency offers exclusive and unlimited access to the studio, office and technical equipment. You must be technically autonomous.

Studio 303 rents its space for independent productions, supporting artists who want to selfproduce their work. This year, via a call for submission, we will select 2 projects in parternship, giving a rebate of 50% on the rental cost.
EVENING CLASSES — 2025-26 SEASON

Studio 303 rents its space to teachers who wish to give a class. We offer 3 sessions per year, and classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings. Studio rental is the responsibility of the teacher.
Practical Details
- Studio 303 is a studio, not a theatre.
- Submissions must be received no later than 5pm the day of the deadline, or the following Monday if the deadline falls on a weekend.
- We will try to give you an answer within 2 months following the deadline.
