CONTENT // In this class we will explore knowing and learning in relational ways; dancing through/with/by/about the heart. We will embody the “spiral” through dance phrases and use the tool of the Axis Syllabus to engage in multiple perspectives on anatomy. Can we learn movement by heart using somatic experiences, movement propositions and chaos inspired improvisational games? Let’s see what emerges. This dance class is accessible to all levels.

BIO // Kerwin Barrington has facilitated “dance experiences” for 15 years which favor new ways of learning through the body in movement. She is a candidate to teach The Axis Syllabus and is working towards a master’s degree, researching the expression “To learn by heart” by exploring possible relationships between the heart and learning.
Evening classes are open to all levels, and it is recommended to register in advance for one or multiple classes.
