OBJECTIVE
This workshop is an introduction to the foundations of acrobatics. We will use acrobatic patterns that have been translated onto the floor as our entry point into the exploration of acrobatic concepts. It aims to guide participants towards establishing a strong connection to the floor, expanding our awareness towards our points of contact to allow for greater ease and fluidity in movement. The goal is to offer participants floorwork building blocks to facilitate their continued research into the realm of acrobatics.
CONTENT
We will focus on developing tools and techniques for transitioning in and out of the floor with softness and control. Through a combination of improvisational tasks and short sequences, we will gradually expand our repertoire to encompass numerous variations of rolls, spirals, undulations, pathways, and transitions.
