Inclusive dance training:
This year, Corpuscule Danse is offering a series of four classes focused on physical training. The goal is to strengthen deep muscles to improve body control and breathing, as well as stretching exercises to optimize mobility. These workshops aim to deepen body awareness and help participants express themselves fully, both in everyday life and in dance. With their experience in teaching inclusive dance, our instructors will guide participants in applying techniques appropriate to their specific physical characteristics. Whether you want to prepare for the regular class session, enrich your body awareness, or simply move in good company, join us! An accessible way to get your body moving in a caring and respectful environment.
Regular inclusive dance class:
Open to adults of all backgrounds and levels, this inclusive dance class invites participants to develop their practice in a respectful and accessible artistic setting. The focus will be on exploring movement, artistic expression through dance, and listening to oneself and others. Participants will be able to enrich their dance vocabulary, nurture their expressive movement, and develop their body awareness, all in a warm atmosphere where every journey is welcomed with openness. The joy of dancing, expressing oneself, and sharing a common space is at the heart of the experience.

BIOGRAPHY
Self-taught in dance and trained in visual arts and theater, Georges-Nicolas Tremblay first made his mark as a creator by founding his own company in Saguenay in 2001, which he ran until it closed in 2011 so he could pursue his artistic practice more freely in Montreal as a performer and choreographer. Georges-Nicolas holds a master’s degree in dance from UQAM, focusing on dramaturgy in dance from a relational perspective, questioning the power dynamics within the creative process and their possible impacts on the outcome. Following a career spanning more than 20 years as a performer, his knowledge of the dance world and its inner workings has led him to continually engage in demystifying and promoting dance, while contributing to the improvement of ethics and working conditions. In 2024, he took over from Marthe Boulianne and became co-executive and artistic director of Corpuscule Danse alongside Marie-Hélène Bellavance.
Simon Renaud is an artist based in Montreal. He is the artistic director of his company AMOUR AMOUR, launched in 2022. Originally from Gatineau, part-time epileptic, full-time twin, he studied contemporary dance at The School of Dance in Ottawa. He then worked as a performer for numerous Canadian (e.g., Daniel Léveillé, Catherine Gaudet, Dancemakers) and French (Alban Richard) independent companies and choreographers, allowing him to perform both nationally and internationally. He has had the pleasure of presenting his work at several events in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick. Simon was an artist in residence with LA SERRE – arts vivants in 2018. His piece l’inanité des bibelots earned Andrew Hartley a Dora Mavor Award nomination for Best Male Performance. He is the recipient of a residency in Aarhus, Denmark, in March 2020, a collaboration between Circuit Est and the Bora Bora Residency Center.
Originally from Trois-Rivières, Justine Bellefeuille graduated from Concordia University with a degree in contemporary dance and is completing a major in visual arts. Her practice encompasses dance, painting, and ceramics. During her studies, she exhibited at the VAV Gallery, Galerie 2112, and Encans de la quarantaine. Justine’s choreographic career includes Dans nos veines, la sève et la rosée, presented in Saint-Paulin in July 2021. Since that same year, she has been part of the Mouvement de Passage project in Mauricie. More recently, she choreographed OVERLOAD, presented by Tangente Danse in April 2022 in Montreal. Finally, in the summer of 2022, Justine will be performing in the pre-show entertainment for Cirque du Soleil’s Vive nos Divas production.
These classes are open to all levels, and advance registration for one or more classes is recommended.
