MITHRA RABEL

PROJECT // Rétrospection en mouvement
My residency is a process of exploration, research and development. I want to challenge movement beyond what I recognise and beyond the patterns and structures I have become comfortable with over time. A process, where the approach of freestyling and opening the body is taken beyond what is predefined by my experience and corporeal memory. It is a project of deconstruction and reconstruction where I challenge and enrich movement through the rooting and relationship to rhythm acquired from contemporary African dance. I take charge of my knowledge and challenge it to rediscover my dance. A process I call: “Rétrospection en mouvement”.
